The Life and Opinions of the Tomcat Murr

Mina Bach
Mina is a London-based multidisciplinary designer who joined the collective with the aim to further explore and challenge the print versus digital dichotomy. The Life and Opinions of The Tomcat Murr revisits the 1820 radical E. T. A. Hoffmann novel for a new generation of readers. In this digital retelling, instead of the printer's mistake of the original version, a computer glitch has mixed-up the clever cat's autobiography with an e-book about the German composer Johannes Kreisler. The two wildly different texts share a screen in a fragile and fragmented relationship creating new meanings with every read.
